Sharing her thoughts on the role well-intentioned men can play to offer support and allyship at home and at the workplace, she credits her supportive and encouraging husband: one who emphasises her achievements and self-worth. “You want to strive in your career, but at different stages in life and beyond the office there are different roles to play - one has to be able to juggle. At my current stage, I’m largely driven to be a role model for my kids.” - Joanne Kan, Senior Manager

- Arun Raghavan, Team Manager

She loved sports and aspired to be a national hockey player. The only catch then: there were not many girls into the sport then and she mostly had to train with boys. “It was really tough - they wouldn’t pass, no one wanted me on their team and I often felt alone. And so I fought to prove myself by putting more hours into training.” She was a state player at the age of 14, made it to the national junior hockey team at 16, and represented the country in the senior women’s team when she was 17.
